Disclaimer
This blog contains parts of my story that I’ve never spoken about publicly before. Although I won’t be sharing my full name, I know that for any friends or family reading this, some of what I write may be new to you. Nothing here is shared to shock, blame or expose anyone. It is simply my honest journey — told with transparency and I hope with grace.
I ask that you read with understanding, knowing that every chapter — the good, the bad and the painfully ugly — is part of my testimony. My only purpose in sharing it is to glorify God and to shine a light on the One who redeemed my life and gave me a new beginning.
If you are a Christian who has stumbled upon this website with little or no experience of the Muslim community, I hope you stay. I want to offer the perspective of an ex‑Muslim — not to create division but to soften hearts. Many of us long for people who are not afraid to approach us, plant a seed and have real conversations about faith.
In light of some concerning behaviour from a minority who wish to see sharia influence in the UK, it is understandable that British non‑Muslims feel protective of their identity. But as my Reverend wisely reminded me, the downfall of the UK was never caused by Islam entering through immigration. It came from within — from the loss of our identity as a Christian nation and the rise of secularism.
As a born‑again Christian, I now rest in the truth that God (YHWH) is always in control no matter how dark the world becomes. Our calling as Christians has never changed: to spread the Good News, which is ultimately the purpose of this blog — God will do the rest!
I pray that everyone who finds this space is blessed by it — that my testimony reveals God’s glory, grace and love and that it leads many to Christ, God willing.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
